Janet Longmore is the Founder and President & CEO of Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT). Over her twenty-five year career, Janet has been a leader in creating new approaches and sustainable solutions that have successfully helped less fortunate people and societies improve their lives for the better.  She has distinguished herself as a leader in building innovative, multi-sector partnerships to strengthen the reach and impact of programme operations.

A talented communicator, Janet is passionately committed to effective efforts to bridge the global digital divide and empower people through the application of technology.  She has been a featured speaker at numerous ICT for development conferences and events and is a member of the Strategy Council of the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID).

In 2002, Janet founded DOT, a Canadian-based international organization that focuses on creating educational and economic opportunities through the use of information and communication technologies for youth and communities in need around the globe.
